- Receive, monitor and follow up on complaints and carry out investigations.
- Prison visits and monitoring of places of detention.
- Complaints training, prison visits and internal advocacy.
- Contribute to providing information and data that support the Department of Training, Awareness and Community Advocacy in identifying a set of issues or value concepts of human rights.
- Coordinating research and oversight of government policies and legislation.
