Our client is an independent specialist consultancy based in the Southwest of England, offering market leading construction and engineering consultancy and contracting services to many different sectors including property development, commercial building, power, infrastructure, energy and transport. Due to business growth, the company has an exciting vacancy for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This will be a hybrid position with a combination of home working and working out of their offices in Bristol.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Participating in the identification and tracking of major and strategic project opportunities
Providing advice and guidance on major project opportunities and participate in strategic business development initiatives.
Contract interpretation and process mapping.
Value completed works and ensure measurement compliance with SOR s.
Dispute Management.
Compile Cost Value Reconciliation.
Produce quotations and pre-estimates;
Maintaining high level business contacts within the company s core sectors.
Working with regional project teams to provide and deliver professional services with regard to the contractual and commercial aspects.
Assisting with researching and cascading the latest contractual guidance, best practice and implement methods of working to improve the business efficiency and accuracy.
Identifying market trends and obtaining new opportunities and develop the strategy for bidding for work based upon a network of industry contacts.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a similar discipline
Ideally you will be a Chartered professional member of at least one recognised Institution
Have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the NEC3 form of contract.
Minimum of 6 years experience, preferably in the construction and engineering consultancy sector
The company are looking to pay a competitive salary of 50,000 - 65,000 and benefits package including car/allowance, healthcare, pension, and holidays. They will also offer ongoing support and training for personal and professional development.
Full Time
