Requirements

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Junior Inventory Planner, working on a number of brands, and joining a team where you will be responsible for managing fast moving stock ranges.

Reporting directly to the Team Manager you will be responsible for ensuring optimum stock levels, placing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of stock. You will liaise with account managers, goods in and EU suppliers negotiating prices and lead times, as well as handling any stock-related queries.

Your key accountabilities will be to support the sales process by proactively analysing stock levels to ensure adequate stock is held thus improving service levels to the customer, monitoring product movement so that slower products are kept in lower quantities and therefore increasing productivity and cost reduction. You will also closely monitor and report any slow moving stocks so that appropriate action can be taken quickly and effectively.

You will have endless energy and enthusiasm with a strong determination to succeed and a good sense of humour. Effective time management and good communication skills will be crucial as will a high level of resilience and confidence.

In the last few years we have continued to expand and this role is one for a career minded individual with great opportunities to develop.

Ideal candidates will be customer focused with good interpersonal, problem solving and administration skills, as well as having a willingness to learn. You will already have experience in a fast moving commercial environment. IT skills will be desirable, particularly focusing on Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong organisation including good time management
  • Good communication skills
  • Numerical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • IT Literate including Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience of interfacing with suppliers and negotiating prices in a similar role is desirable
