Do you have experience as an automotive/powersports mechanic or apprentice?
Our client in the Powersports Servicing Industry is looking for a customer-oriented Power Sports Technician to join their maintenance and servicing team.
The main responsibilities and tasks of this role will include:
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Performs preventive maintenance inspections and ensures the timely and effective repair of any problems identified during an inspection.
Performs proficient inspection, diagnosis and moderately complex repair of assigned vehicles and equipment.
Provides assistance, guidance and direction to the team of maintenance technician
Estimates time and material costs on repairs and requisitions new parts.
Advises supervisor immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
Inspects the quality of outside/supplier repairs and or rebuilds.
Assesses structural damage and assigns needed repairs utilizing the most appropriate method(s).
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
Performs maintenance related work as required.
2 Yr. Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field. 1-2 year(s) work experience as a small engine or automotive mechanic/apprentice. 310S, 435A, 435B, Forklift certifications and licenses an asset Knowledge of market trends in the powersports service industry Excellent verbal and written communication Periods of light physical effort Physical Demands and Working Conditions Work environment involves occupational hazards associated with working in a garage. Standing/Walking for periods of up to 8 hours. Lifting and/or carrying of parts and other merchandise, as required, on a regular basis.
