We are seeking a qualified and experiencedElectricianto join theMaintenance Team witha dynamic and professional manufacturing facility in London, ON. The Electrician will be responsible for Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting faults, upkeep of electrical components on company property related to equipment and the building. Electricians will perform electrical repairs according to the specifications and verbal direction, as well as to improve and modify the existing equipment.

Must be able to use specific tools required by the trade and be familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, reading and interpreting schematics and OEM documentation. The Electrician is also responsible for PLC installations, integration, improvements, modifications, and start-ups for the production line, as well as troubleshoot PLC drives and controls. Any PLC experience is considered a strong asset.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance on all equipment according to schedule
  • Identify and perform corrective maintenance that could lead to downtime or line stoppage
  • Provide detailed information regarding any required parts or tools that maybe required
  • Document findings for future reference
  • Comply with company safety rules and OHSA regulations


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be a licensed Industrial Electrician (442A)/ or a third term Apprentice
  • Experience with PLC logic in the following: Siemens 7, HMI
  • Mechanical experience and advanced user of tools specific to the trade
  • Familiar with material handling systems, conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes, drive systems and industrial automation
  • Ability to read electrical prints and OEM documentation
  • Understand the cause and effect of downtime to the production line
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Thorough understanding of Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written


SHIFTS
Various Shifts Available
  • Weekend Shifts, work 24 paid for 36
  • Mon-Fri Days, or Nights
  • 3-week rotation, Days (5x8s) Afternoons (4x10s) Night (3x12)
    • Days; Monday to Friday (7:00am to 3:30pm)
    • Afternoons; Monday to Thursday (3:30pm to 2:00am)
    • Night; Friday to Sunday (12:00am to 8:30 am)

COMPENSATION

$35.00/hour based on experience plusShift Premium
