Could you be the full-time Troubleshooter Engineer in Cairo were looking for

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical troubleshooting expertise in a cutting-edge field. Youll work alongside a collaborative and solution-driven team of professionals.

Youll play a key role in ensuring the availability and reliability of Alstom trains at customer sites. Day-to-day youll work closely with teams across the business including the warranty support team project team members and subcontractors to identify and resolve technical issues conduct preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Youll specifically take care of troubleshooting during the PI period and pre-warranty phases but also contribute to fleet checks preventive maintenance and field modifications.

Well look to you for:

  • Carrying out troubleshooting investigations and repairs during various project phases including PI pre-warranty and commissioning.

  • Planning and conducting fleet check activities and preventive maintenance.

  • Documenting and reporting deviations or failures in the failure management database.

  • Supporting the operation helpdesk and ensuring effective communication during shift transitions.

  • Executing test procedures performing failure analysis and recommending preventive and corrective actions.

  • Leading troubleshooting and preventive maintenance teams when needed.

  • Contributing to the implementation of field modifications and specific technical investigations.

  • Providing technical expertise and feedback to improve customer satisfaction and product performance.

  • Certified Electrical or Mechanical Engineer.

  • Minimum IT knowledge.

  • Knowledge of railway and rolling stock systems.

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting investigation and testing (mechanical or electrical/electronic).

  • Field experience of more than 3 years.

  • Understanding of pneumatic and electrical schematic diagrams.

  • Familiarity with EHS standards and processes.

  • High level of English proficiency (desirable).

  • Resilience analytical thinking and a customer-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to work nights weekends and public holidays as needed.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
