Track Engineer

• Design plan and oversee the construction and maintenance of railway tracks
• Conduct regular inspections to assess track conditions and identify areas requiring repair or upgrade
• Develop and implement track maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Analyse track geometry data and recommend improvements to enhance track stability and ride quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate track work with other railway systems
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to management
• Manage track-related projects including budgeting resource allocation and timeline adherence
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in track engineering technology and best practices

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years experience in railway track engineering or a similar role
• Comprehensive knowledge of railway engineering principles track design and maintenance practices
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for track design and layout
• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and spatial analysis
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in the railway industry
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in project management tools and techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present technical information clearly
• Basic understanding of railway signalling systems and their interaction with track infrastructure
• Professional engineering certification is preferred
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various project sites as required
