Tax Accountant
Job Summary
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing reviewing and submitting tax returns and related reports while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail solid accounting knowledge and the ability to analyze financial data support audits and provide accurate tax reporting within deadlines.
Prepare and submit tax returns tax payments and required supporting documents accurately and on time.
Review financial records invoices and accounting entries to ensure proper tax treatment.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations company policies and reporting requirements.
Prepare monthly quarterly and annual tax reports and reconciliations.
Maintain accurate tax records documentation and filing systems for audit and reference purposes.
Support internal and external audits by preparing tax schedules and responding to documentation requests.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and highlight their impact on company operations.
Identify tax risks reporting errors or compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with finance accounting and external consultants to resolve tax-related matters.
Assist in preparing tax provisions withholding tax reports VAT/sales tax reports and other statutory filings as required.
Bachelors degree in accounting Finance Commerce or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting general accounting or a similar role.
Good knowledge of tax regulations accounting standards and financial reporting procedures.
Experience preparing tax returns reconciliations and statutory reports.
