Commercial Manager (PMC Level)
Requirements
Education Requirements and Acceptable Alternatives
- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management Mandatory
- Masters degree in Commercial Management / Construction Law Preferred
- Strong cost control & commercial experience may substitute for postgraduate studies
Required Courses / Certifications
- PMP Advantage
- FIDIC Training (practical experience is more important than certification) Advantage
- Cost Management / Value Engineering Courses Preferred
Other Important Requirements / Remarks
- Preferably worked with reputable PMC/Consultants
(AECOM Parsons Dar Hill International) - Alternatively experience with Tier 1 Contractors is acceptable
(Orascom Hassan Allam CCC) - Experience with major developers is a strong advantage
(Emaar Sodic Aldar) - Strong background in: Cost Control Budgeting & Forecasting Payment Certification Commercial Reporting
- Must have client-facing experience

- 05 years: QS / Cost Engineer
- 510 years: Senior QS / Cost Engineer
- 1015 years: Commercial / Cost Manager
- 15 years: Senior Commercial Manager

- 1011 years: Borderline (Senior QS / Junior Manager)
- Less than 10 years: Not suitable for this position
