Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Road Engineer to join our team in Alexandria Egypt. As a key member of our engineering department you will be responsible for overseeing the design planning and of complex road infrastructure projects in the region.
- Lead the design and development of railway project ensuring compliance with local and international standards
- Manage and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including surveyors geotechnical engineers and environmental specialists
- Conduct detailed site investigations and analyze data to inform road design decisions
- Develop and review technical specifications drawings and cost estimates for road projects
- Oversee construction activities ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits
- Implement innovative solutions to optimize road design considering factors such as safety efficiency and sustainability
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in road engineering technologies and best practices
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in road engineering and construction with a proven track record of managing largescale projects
- Advanced knowledge of road design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with excellent problemsolving abilities
- Indepth knowledge of road design standards specifications and pavement design
- Expertise in environmental impact assessments for road projects
- Familiarity with local regulations and construction practices in Egypt
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Relevant certifications in road engineering and construction management are highly desirable
