Job Summary
Connectalents a leading Recruitment & HRO company in MENA is currently hiring a Senior Cost Accountant for a leading Cairo-based logistics supply chain and international trading company.
Job Role:
- Manage full-cycle accounting for trading and import operations
- Record and reconcile import-related transactions (customs duties freight insurance clearing charges etc.)
- Monitor inventory accounting valuation and cost of goods sold
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws VAT customs and regulatory requirements
- Handle bank reconciliations supplier accounts and foreign currency transactions
- Coordinate with customs agents banks auditors and tax consultants
- Support budgeting forecasting and cash flow management
- Review and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Supervise junior accounting staff
Requirements
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
- 3-5 of accounting experience with strong exposure to the trading/import industry.
- Sold understanding of import/export documentation and costing.
- Experience with Odoo (mandatory)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Very good English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
