The opportunity

As part of the Immigration team in Cairo you will support end-to-end immigration labor and government relations processes for EY employees. This role involves representing EY with government authorities managing documentation and ensuring compliance with Egyptian labor and immigration regulations.

You will work closely with multiple ministries and regulatory bodies while supporting onboarding visa processes and broader employee compliance requirements across the business.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage documentation and submissions for visas work permits visa stamping and attestation of certificates
• Handle immigration and government relations cases providing regular updates and recommending solutions to resolve issues
• Liaise with relevant Egyptian authorities (e.g. Ministry of Labor Ministry of Interior National Organization for Social Insurance Financial Regulatory Authority Central Bank and other regulatory bodies)
• Stay updated on changes in government regulations and communicate updates to the team
• Support inbound and outbound visa processes including submissions to embassies and consulates
• Ensure compliance with immigration and labor regulations in coordination with business stakeholders
• Collaborate with recruitment and pre-joining teams to support smooth onboarding of new hires
• Coordinate with finance to ensure payroll compliance with social insurance regulations
• Escalate high-risk or complex cases to the Cluster Lead with clear recommendations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities to support efficient processing
• Support renewal and registration processes (e.g. Auditor registrations trade licenses professional syndicates)
• Handle employee registrations with relevant professional and regulatory bodies

• Strong knowledge of Egyptian labor law and immigration procedures
• High level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive employee data
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage complex cases and provide practical solutions
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Strong relationship-building and networking capabilities with government entities
• Proactive enthusiastic and adaptable approach

Ideally youll also

• Have experience working in a multinational or professional services environment
• Possess strong understanding of payroll processes linked to social insurance regulations
