Job Description

Overview

The Civil Engineer (Design & Infrastructure) is responsible for the development of civil engineering designs models and drawings for infrastructure and site development projects. The role focuses on delivering accurate 2D/3D designs supporting engineering calculations and ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards.

Your role

• Develop detailed civil engineering drawings plans and 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation or OpenRoads
• Generate and analyze existing ground and subsurface surfaces using survey data
• Design site grading drainage systems and earthworks including volume calculations and quantity take-offs
• Prepare underground utilities and services layouts
• Interpret engineering concepts sketches and technical data to produce accurate design outputs
• Develop road alignments profiles and cross-sections for infrastructure projects
• Produce high-quality engineering drawings in accordance with project standards
• Support design coordination with civil engineers and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering practices standards and procedures
• Assist in reviewing and refining design outputs to meet project objectives

About you

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and drafting
• Strong experience in 2D and 3D design for: Site grading and earthworks Drainage systems Underground utilities Road and infrastructure design
• Proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD MicroStation InRoads or OpenRoads
• Ability to interpret survey data maps and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of civil engineering practices standards and design methodologies
• Experience in mining or industrial projects is an advantage
• Basic understanding of hydrology is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and fast-paced environment
