- Senior Oracle Financials Consultant
Job Purpose
The Senior Oracle Financials Consultant will lead the design implementation configuration and optimization of Oracle Financial applications. Acting as the core bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams this individual will translate complex accounting and business requirements into scalable Oracle solutions. The ideal candidate brings extensive full-lifecycle implementation experience strong techno-functional or functional expertise and a deep understanding of core corporate finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Implementation: Lead end-to-end full lifecycle implementations upgrades or migrations of Oracle Financials (Fusion or EBS R12 and Cloud ERP will be value add).
- Business Process Mapping: Conduct requirement-gathering workshops fit-gap analysis and future-state business process design across core finance streams:
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Module Configuration: Own the hands-on configuration and optimization of core Oracle Financial modules including General Ledger (GL) Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR) Cash Management (CM) Fixed Assets (FA) and Subledger Accounting (SLA).
- Technical Collaboration: Partner with developers to define technical specifications for RICEW objects (Reports Interfaces Customizations Extensions Workflows) and data migration scripts.
- Reporting & Analytics: Design and build financial statements dashboards and operational reports using tools like OTBI Financial Reporting Studio (FRS) Smart View or BI Publisher.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles including test script creation execution management and defect resolution.
- Change Management & Training: Develop comprehensive training documentation deliver end-user workshops and guide the business through cutover planning go-live and hypercare support phases.
- Strategic Advisor: Keep up-to-date with Oracles quarterly release cycles (for Cloud) to evaluate new features assess impact on existing processes and advise leadership on system optimization.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Information Technology Computer Science or a related field. (An MBA or CPA/CMA certification is a strong plus).
- Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle Financials.
- Proven track record of leading at least 23 full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud or EBS R12 Financial implementations.
- Functional Expertise: Deep understanding of accounting principles consolidation intercompany eliminations multi-currency setups and corporate tax configurations.
- System Knowledge: Master-level familiarity Oracle EBS Financials (Oracle Cloud ERP Fusion will be a plus). Experience with Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) is highly advantageous.
- Reporting Tools: Proficiency with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) Smart View and SQL queries for data verification.
