CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3:The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

We work in 120 countries and work together with our partners to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to achieve immediate and lasting change in their Egypt Save the Children International has been working to ensure that childrens rights are respected protected and promoted since 1982. We carry out both long-term development work and more recently emergency humanitarian work.

This project aims that children and youth in vulnerable situations have their rights respected and possess sound self-reliance capacities that allow them to improve their life perspectives. It will also target national and community organizations to enable them to provide effective protection and self-reliance services for children and youth.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The MHPSS Facilitator will lead the implementation of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) group activities for refugee and migrant children and youth. The role focuses on strengthening resilience promoting protection and prevention interventions and delivering awareness sessions for children and their caregivers. The Facilitator will work directly with vulnerable refugee and migrant populations to enhance life skills build individual resilience and improve psychosocial well-being through structured child-centered support interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Degree in Social Sciences humanities psychology Or any relevant degree

Minimum of 1-3 years of successful experience on the field work preferably in raising awareness and positive discipline and strong experience of dealing with children and youth.

Proven Expertise in designing and facilitating Life skills programs for children between 8 and 18 years old.

Proven knowledge and skills in activity planning implementation monitoring and evaluation.

Proven expertise in child protection and Child Resilience

Evidence of analytical understanding and a commitment to improving child rights

Good working knowledge of English and Arabic (reading and writing) .

Good training and facilitation skills

Familiarity with Refugees context is an absolute advantage

Report writing skills required
