How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
The Med Gas Engineer oversees and leads Air Liquide Egypts Healthcare maintenance & installation activities and processes in adherence with requirements of AirLiquide group IMS (Industrial Management System) Quality & safety standards to sustain customer sites operational effectiveness increase mean time between failures reduce downtimes and improve service quality. The leader also has to monitor and develop maintenance / installation infrastructure (manpower stock tools and equipment) to meet current and future business requirements. The leader will also support the commercial department in defining and developing new profitable channels to strengthen our position in the medical gasses market.
As customer experience is a key component in our strategy The leader must direct the team into having a customer centric mindset to ensure delivering outstanding CX (customer experience) .
1- Maintenance Activities Excution
- Responsible for planning & supervising Medical gases (Mechanical electrical and instrumentation) maintenance activities for bulk and minibulk tanks as well as onsite stations (Medical air stations Vacuum stations cylinders stations and networks) at customer sites across Egypt as following:-
- Plan & supervise Bulk & minibulk tanks preventive maintenance activities for AL owned & customer contracted tanks ensuring tanks are working efficiently.
- Planning & supervising onsite station preventive maintenance activities for contracted customers ensuring adherence with OEM (Original Equipment manufacturer) and AL standards.
- Plan & supervise Executing EIS (Elements important for safety) verification activities according to AL standards.
- Respond and direct the team to tanks and onsite stations emergency maintenance requests.
- Develop and maintain sites machinery history tracking records to Analyze machinerys records implement root cause analysis for repetitive breakdowns.
- Plan Pre-contract inspection for potential customers to inspect to report and validate their stations conditions ensuring that they meet AL quality and safety standards.
- Develop & maintain maintenance services & major spare parts price list up to date to support commercial team in offering process
- Develop & control Verification tools log ensuring that all tools are used under valid calibration certificate.
- Create & follow up EIS list to achieve verification percentage of 100%

2- Customer Installation (CI) Activities Excution
- Responsible for planning and supervising BOS Activities (Bulkmibulk & micro-bulk)and pre-filling preparation activities along with MGPS (Medical Gasses Piping Systems) non-project related activities as following :-
- Plan & report tanks Pre-filling CIR (Customer Inspection Request) for medical gasses potential customers ensuring that they meet AL quality and safety standards.
- plan & supervise tanks first fill activities for new customers.
- Perform pre-installation site surveys and feasibility studies developing technical system designs that satisfied user requirements site conditions and internal Air Liquide compliance mandates.
- Spearhead tank implementation projects from initial technical documentation including capacity sizing P&IDs and shop drawings through to site supervision delivering all milestones within strict schedule and budget parameters
- Direct & supervise all tank lifting and placement operations from warehouse dispatch to final customer site execution strictly enforcing AL safety protocols
- Coordinate client handovers and project close-out phases validating that physical installations precisely reflected approved Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and client agreements.
- Conducted onsite technical training for client representatives covering system operations troubleshooting and safety protocols to guarantee safe & optimal operations.
- Developed and controlled installation activities budgets providing precise cost estimates and quotations to the commercial team.
- Lead Start up commissioning and Handover of all medical gasses stations (Air Vacuum AGSS and cylinder station) in MGPS project.

- Define and track spare parts required for all maintenance & installation activities to ensure business sustainability
- Define critical spare parts ensuring all items are available on shelf to avoid downtimes in maintenance / CI activities
- Monitor maintenance / installation inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Using Oracle create purchase requisition for the required goods or services book receipts after technically inspect/accept the items.
- Provide alternative solutions for unavailable spare parts.
- Follow up & control Med gasses vans workshop & tools condition ensuring having a safe work environment
- Managed the purchasing pipeline for liquid storage vessels ensuring equipment selection was backed by detailed technical comparisons
- Define critical spare parts ensuring all items are available on shelf to avoid downtimes in maintenance / CI activities
- Monitor maintenance / installation inventory and place orders when necessary.

- Update and develop Med Gas maintenance & installations management procedures ensuring compliances with AL & ISO standards.
- Update and develop SOPs and JHAs for Med Gases maintenance / CI routine activities ensuring compliances with AL & ISO standards
- Following up maintenance & installation technicians reporting quality.
- Track & maintain calibration tools certifications to comply with ISO requirements
- Respond to internal and external audits for HC maintenance & installation activities.
- Archiving all maintenance / CI activities reports according to procedures records of retention.
- Update and develop SOPs and JHAs for Med Gases maintenance / CI routine activities ensuring compliances with AL & ISO standards
- Following up maintenance & installation technicians reporting quality.
- Track & maintain calibration tools certifications to comply with ISO requirements
- Respond to internal and external audits for HC maintenance & installation activities.
- Archiving all maintenance / CI activities reports according to procedures records of retention.
5- Safety & Quality Objectives
- Direct and supervise maintenance / installation team on their daily maintenance/CI activities (mechanical electrical instrumentation) ensuring tasks completeness in accordance with AirLiquide safety & quality standards.
- Conduct & report Behavioral safety visits (BSVs) for maintenance/installation activities to ensure taskes are perfomed in accordance with AirLiquide safety & quality standards.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings with Maintnenance/CI team to increase safety awareness.
- Direct and assest the team into reaching annual safety objectives (safety meetings attendance stop cards BSVs )
- Ensure Maintenance / installation systems development to comply with AL Group IMS updates.
- Conduct & report Behavioral safety visits (BSVs) for maintenance/installation activities to ensure taskes are perfomed in accordance with AirLiquide safety & quality standards.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings with Maintnenance/CI team to increase safety awareness.
- Direct and assest the team into reaching annual safety objectives (safety meetings attendance stop cards BSVs )
- Ensure Maintenance / installation systems development to comply with AL Group IMS updates.

- Assist and guide the team in using devices and tools for maintenance inspection processes.

- Bachelor degree of Engineering (Mechatronics Mechanical Electrical)
- 7 years working experience in the related fields of engineering design project management
- Minimum 2 years experience of project management in engineering
- Fluent English is a must
