Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Estimating Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for performing takeoffs for HVAC (Duct & Pipe) and Plumbing systems including all related accessories. You will use company-provided estimating software to analyze and estimate project costs accurately.
This will be an opportunity to work with a leading Mechanical Contractor in the Chicago IL USA area.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform takeoffs for HVAC (Duct & Pipe) and Plumbing systems including all accessories.
- Estimate project costs using company-standard tools and software.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings for HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Ensure accurate material selection connections and accessory specifications.
- Utilize Excel (advanced formulas & worksheets) for calculations and reporting.
- Work with takeoff software to streamline estimating processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- 1-3 years of experience in takeoff and estimating for HVAC (Pipe & Duct) and Plumbing systems.
- Strong expertise in mechanical systems (HVAC Plumbing) and materials.
- Proficiency in mechanical drawing interpretation.
- Experience with takeoff software and strong Excel skills (formula-based worksheets).

This is a full-time on-site position at our Cairo Egypt office (Nasr City) with working hours from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM Cairo time.
