Job Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing processes with a keen eye for identifying issues and ensuring high-quality software delivery. Experience in automation testing using Cypress is a plus but not mandatory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements develop test strategies and execute test plans to guarantee the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and execute detailed test plans test cases and test scripts for new and existing features.
Conduct manual functional regression and integration testing to ensure high-quality releases.
Work closely with developers business analysts and product managers to clarify requirements and define test scenarios.
Identify document and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug-tracking tools (e.g. JIRA).
Provide detailed test reports and communicate test progress results and defect status.
Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
Collaborate with the QA team to explore and implement automation solutions.
(Optional) Develop and maintain automation scripts using Cypress for UI and API testing.
Continuously improve the testing process and contribute to the overall product quality.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
1 years of experience in software testing.
Strong experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
Proficiency in creating comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams.
Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools like JIRA TestRail etc.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred/Optional Skills:

Hands-on experience with Cypress for automation testing (UI and API).
Basic understanding of scripting languages such as JavaScript.
Familiarity with continuous integration (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter) is a plus.
