HSE Engineer

Located in Egypt and surrounding regional project sites, pkmail is a prominent player in the financial services industry. We are currently looking for an experienced HSE Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental management across our chemical and construction EPC projects in Egypt and the Middle East. Key Responsibilities:

• Establish, implement, and enhance the project HSE management system to ensure compliance with contract requirements and local regulations

• Develop safety policies, emergency response plans, and HSE training programs; conduct safety training sessions

• Perform daily safety inspections and specialized safety audits, identifying site hazards and ensuring corrective actions

• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety review of construction method statements

• Organize project safety meetings, prepare monthly safety reports, and conduct statistical analysis

• Coordinate HSE activities with clients, PMC consultants, and local safety regulatory bodies

• Supervise subcontractor HSE management to ensure efficient system implementation

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of on-site HSE management experience in chemical or construction engineering

• Preferably, experience in EPC project safety management

• Internationally recognized safety certifications like NEBOSH, OSHA, etc., are a plus

• Familiarity with international HSE management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001); knowledge of Egyptian/Jordanian safety laws

• Proficient in emergency management, risk assessment, and incident investigation

• Exposure to Chinese-funded enterprises or international engineering projects overseas is advantageous

• Fluent in Arabic and English; knowledge of Chinese is beneficial

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced certifications in safety or environmental management

• Experience in managing multicultural teams on large-scale projects
