Senior Application Technologist I / Scientist I (Snacks & Savory) - Egypt

Your future position

At Givaudan our Flavours Creation & Application (FC&A) team combines science creativity and consumer insight to bring great taste experiences to life.

We are looking for a Senior Application Technologist I / Scientist I (Snacks & Savory) to join our team in Egypt.

In this role you will apply and evaluate flavours across a variety of snacks and savory applications helping our customers create products that consumers love.

You will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions deliver winning briefs and contribute to Givaudans growth and leadership in taste innovation.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for:

Providing technical support for our customers

• Partner with customers on snacks and savory projects contributing to successful project delivery and helping win new opportunities.
• Recommend flavour solutions that meet customer expectations technical requirements regulatory considerations and business objectives.
• Support customer visits product presentations plant trials and application demonstrations.
• Collaborate with commercial marketing flavour creation and technical teams to deliver impactful customer solutions.
• Contribute technical expertise throughout the product development journey from concept to commercialization.

Evaluation and selection of flavours

• Apply and evaluate flavours in snacks and savory applications for customer briefs research projects and portfolio assessments.
• Select flavour solutions based on sensory profile application performance regulatory requirements cost considerations and project objectives.
• Recommend improvements and optimization opportunities for key applications.
• Prepare products and samples for customer presentations demonstrations and evaluations.
• Identify suitable flavour delivery systems and technologies for specific applications.
• Monitor flavour performance and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Driving innovation

• Explore new product concepts inspired by consumer preferences category developments and market trends.
• Support innovation projects in collaboration with regional and global technical teams.
• Contribute ideas that strengthen our snacks and savory capabilities and support customer growth.
• Help showcase new technologies solutions and application expertise internally and externally.

Knowledge sharing and expertise

• Act as a technical resource for colleagues across marketing sales flavour creation and application teams.
• Share best practices technical learnings and application insights across the organization.
• Support the development of technicians and junior colleagues through coaching and knowledge transfer.
• Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Maintaining systems

• Maintain flavour performance data through product evaluation profiling and documentation.
• Ensure application knowledge and project learnings are accurately captured and shared.
• Support continuous improvement through effective data management and technical reporting.

Prioritizing safety

• Maintain a safe clean and organized laboratory environment following Givaudans safety standards.
• Promote a culture of safety quality and accountability in daily activities.

Your professional profile includes

• Bachelors degree in Food Science Food Engineering Chemistry Biology Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• 3 years of experience in food applications product development flavour application food manufacturing or related technical environments.
• Knowledge of snacks and savory products ingredients processing technologies and product functionality.
• Understanding of flavour performance and interactions within food applications.
• Experience managing projects priorities and multiple customer requests.
• Interest in consumer trends innovation and new product development.
• A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working across cultures functions and perspectives.
• Proficiency in common digital and business applications.
• Willingness to travel as required to support customer projects and business needs.
