Project & Development Services - MENA

JLL Project & Development Services (P&DS) MENA provides consulting design management and build services to tenant and owners leveraging technology and digital solutions to drive outstanding service delivery.

We bring a life-cycle perspective to our clients from development solutions to our core services in programme project and cost management and consulting in digital solutions tenancy management sustainability leisure & entertainment and workplace & design.

About the Role
The Assistant Cost Manager position within our Project & Development Services (PDS) team in Cairo supports the delivery of cost management services on construction and development projects. Reporting to the Cost Manager this role is essential for maintaining financial control and providing value engineering solutions to optimize our clients project outcomes.

What this job involves
Supporting the Cost Management team in preparing cost estimates budgets and financial reports for construction projects.
Analyzing project costs and expenditures to identify variances and provide recommendations.
Assisting with tender document preparation bid analysis and contractor selection processes.
Contributing to value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Monitoring project cash flows and forecasting expenditure throughout project lifecycles.
Reviewing contractor payment applications and preparing payment certificates.
Assisting with contract administration and change order management.
Preparing monthly cost reports and presenting financial updates to clients and stakeholders.
Supporting the assessment and management of risk and contingency allowances.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including architects engineers and contractors.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelors in Quantity Surveying Construction Management Civil Engineering or related field.
2-4 years in cost management/quantity surveying.
Knowledge of Egyptian construction methods and regulations.
FIDIC contract experience preferred.
Proficient in cost planning software and MS Office.
Experience with measurement and take-off techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English and Arabic.
Works well under pressure with tight deadlines.
Detail-oriented with financial reporting accuracy.
RICS certification (or pursuing) advantageous.
Willing to work in project site in Sheikh Zayed - Egypt.
