1EM7606 Atlassian Cloud JSM Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Atlassian Cloud / JSM Engineer with a strong Jira Service Management background to lead the migration of engineering service desks from on-premise Jira Service Desk to Atlassian Cloud and to design build and operate the resulting platform. The ideal candidate is confident across the Atlassian toolchain and able to consolidate multiple service desks into one scalable SLA-based Engineering Service Desk.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Cloud Migration: Lead the migration from on-premise Jira Service Desk to Atlassian Cloud (JSM)reusing existing configuration and migrating data on a cost/benefit basis.
• Service Desk Consolidation: Consolidate multiple separate service desks (test benches test vehicles parts logistics) into one unified Engineering Service Desk.
• Portal & Workflow Design: Design user-friendly service portals and map engineering processes including request types approval workflows and workflow automations.
• Routing & SLA Management: Set up queues for ticket prioritization and implement SLA metrics with automatic alerts for potential breaches.
• Asset Management: Develop and maintain asset schemas for engineering assets with Confluence asset views and event-based notifications.
• Interface Development: Build maintain and troubleshoot API-based interfaces to peripheral systems such as other Jira projects test-bench systems or SAP.
• Support & Administration: Provide ongoing 2nd/3rd-level support JSM administration user management and documentation in Confluence.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with development departments and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical JSM structures.
• Reporting: Provide clear and regular status updates on progress risks and technical challenges.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Education: . Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology or anyrelated field.
• Experience: 3 years of experience in Jira Service Management including hands-on Atlassian Cloudmigration (on-premise to Cloud).
• Atlassian Toolchain: Strong expertise across Jira JSM and Confluence including Jira configurationworkflows and service types.
• Integration: Experience in interface/API development and integration with peripheral systems.
• Asset Structures: Experience building and maintaining asset schemas and reference configurations.
• Certification Plus: Atlassian certification such as ACP-120 (Jira Cloud Administration) is considereda plus.
• Automotive/VW Context Plus: Familiarity with the Volkswagen Group / automotive IT environmentis considered a plus.
• Languages: Very good English; German is a plus. Comfortable working to Central European hours.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking problem-solving mindset ownership and willingness to learnquickly.
