1EM7508 Senior Android Engineer

We are seeking experienced Senior Android Engineer tojoin our Digital Services team on a large-scale mobile application programfor a connected consumer hardware product. The engineer will build the Androidapplication through which end users set up and pair their device configure howits components behave monitor its condition protect it against unauthorizeduse and access premium services. The engineer will work acrossuser-facing application features and the shared foundation layer of SDKs APIsand core modules that those features build upon.

• Design build and ship Android features in Kotlin on a modernJetpack stack from concept and feasibility discussion through to productionrelease.
• Own the technical design of the assigned area: modulartestable structures following MVVM / MVI and Clean Architecture principles.
• Build user interfaces with Jetpack Compose in line withMaterial Design and the product design system in close cooperation with UX/UIdesigners.
• Integrate the application with backend services over RESTAPIs covering networking JSON handling authentication error and offlinestates.
• Write and maintain unit and UI tests and keep the testcoverage of the assigned area healthy as the codebase grows.
• Contribute to and consume shared Kotlin Multiplatform moduleswhere logic is shared with iOS.
• Participate in refinement estimation and technicalfeasibility evaluation and help break product intentions into deliverableincrements.
• Review peer code and contribute to engineering standardsacross the mobile codebase.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineeringor equivalent practical experience.
• 510 years of professional Android development experience atsenior individual contributor level.
• Extensive know-how in Android development with Kotlinincluding Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• Jetpack libraries Compose Room Coroutines and Flow andMaterial Design.
• Coroutines for asynchronous and reactive programming.
• Dependency injection specifically Koin.
• Architecture patterns MVVM / MVI and Clean Architectureproducing structured testable modular codebases; proven experience designingscalable and modular application architectures.
• Solid Android SDK and framework fundamentals.
• REST APIs and networking via Retrofit plus JSON handling.
• Solid testing expertise and experience improving test coveragein large codebases.
• Solid understanding of working in an agile environment.
• Strong sense for UX and user centricity and comfortcollaborating with UX/UI during planning phases.

• Integrating mobile applications with embedded systems andhardware: Bluetooth Low Energy device connectivity state handling and offlinescenarios.
• Backend and cloud-connected services: REST APIsauthentication error handling and resilience under poor connectivity.
• Security concepts in mobile applications particularlyownership and authentication and complex state-driven journeys such asonboarding pairing and ownership transfer.
• CI/CDpipelines build optimization quality gates and release processes.
