1AC0306 Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and support daily accounting operations with a strong focus on financial closings reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 5 yearsin general accounting General Ledger demonstrating solid expertise in managing month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accuracy of financial records and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.

Role Description:

• Maintain and control the General Ledger ensuring accuraterecording of all financial transactions and timely monthend and yearendclosings.
• Supportand execute the monthly quarterly and year-end financial closing processesensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financialstatements in compliance with company policies and applicable accountingstandards.
• Perform account reconciliations (bank AR AP intercompanyaccruals prepaid expenses fixed assets) and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage taxrelated accounting activities including VAT/WHTprovisions and coordination with tax advisors and auditors.
• Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis providinginsights and explanations to management.
  
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations including VATcorporate tax and withholding taxes.
• Assist with external and internal audits preparing schedulesdocumentation and responding to auditor queries.
• Contribute to process improvements internal controls andERP/accounting system enhancements.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets andensure financial data integrity.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field (CPA CMA orequivalent is a plus).
• 7 years of accounting experience with at least 5 yearsin general accounting GL
• Excellent in Microsoft Excel with advanced techniques.
• Strong background in financial closings reporting and general accountingprinciples.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks orsimilar ERP systems).
• Strong understanding of IFRS or GAAP.
• Excellentcommunication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
