We are seeking a skilled Platform / Cloud Engineer to manage the infrastructure foundations underpinning the Jenkins CI/CD estate. This role bridges DevOps operations with cloud platform engineering ensuring scalable reliable and secure deployments across hybrid-cloud environments.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure (VMs networking storage IAM) for Jenkins environments usingIaC.
• Maintain Kubernetes clusters hosting Jenkins agents and ancillary platform services.
• Design andoperatehybrid-cloud connectivity between on-premises datacentresand public cloud.
• Implement andmaintainobservability stacks: metrics logging and alerting (Prometheus Grafana ELK / OpenSearch).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning patching and compliance using Terraform and Ansible.
• Support disaster recovery procedures andparticipatein regular DR drills.
• Contribute to costoptimisationinitiatives: right-sizing spot instances and auto-scaling.
• Collaborate with security engineers on network segmentationsecretsmanagement and access controls.
• Maintain platform runbooks and keep infrastructure diagrams current.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science or equivalent.
• 35 years of experience in cloud / platform engineering roles.
• Proficiencyin Terraform (orPulumi/ CDK) and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Strong Linux system administration skills.
• Experience with Kubernetes cluster operations (EKS AKS GKE or on-premises K8s).
• Networking fundamentals: VPC VPN DNS load balancing firewalls.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling (Prometheus Grafana Datadog or equivalent).
• Familiarity withsecretsmanagement tools (HashiCorpVault AWS Secrets Manager Azure Key Vault).
• Understanding ofcloud cost management principles.
• AWS CertifiedSysOpsAdministrator / Azure Administrator Associate preferred.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) desirable.
• HashiCorpTerraform Associate desirable.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English (written and verbal) is mandatory. German language skills are strongly recommended and will be considered a significant advantage.
