Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday Duration of Contract: 8-month fixed term contract (May to December 2025) Anticipated Start Date: May 5, 2025 Hourly Rate Range: $20.00 - $25.00 What You'll Be Doing: Conduct research and gather data for engineering projects, focusing on data collection, cleaning, analysis, and visualization for datasets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes and provide progress updates. Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed. Identifi es non-value added work and development improvement plan which will streamline processes and cycle times. Recommend continuous improvement projects/capital to improve performance, processes, equipment efficiency, and develop SOPs & work instructions. Assists on implementation and maintains overall engineering objectives and initiatives. Improves area operations, processes, equipment efficiency, service, SOP revisions to improve performance and optimized costs. Positively interacts with employees, customers, and suppliers to achieve improvements in performance. Assists with peers and shift leaders to ensure site goals and strategies are met. Works with cross functional teams to eliminate any personal or food safety issues and ensure department culture complies. Learns continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Root Cause Analysis tools, Kaizens, SMED, TPM, etc. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a cooperative, positive and harmonious working environment. Other tasks as assigned. What We're Looking For: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Experience in Food Manufacturing is an asset. Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD. Proficiency in Micro soft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong organizational and project management skills. Analytical and detail oriented. Creative and continuous improvement mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bonus Points If You Have: Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Bi, PowerApps, Power Automate, etc. or interest in learning). Dessert Manufacturing Facility experience. Strong BRC (or similar GFSI) knowledge and experience. Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, OHSA. This job posting is for a new vacancy within our Engineering & Maintenance department.
