Job Summary

Warehouse & Operations Management (Approx. 50%)

  • Lead mentor and develop the warehouse management team and hourly associates fostering a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all daily warehouse operations to ensure KPIs for productivity quality and service levels are consistently met or exceeded (e.g. on-time shipping order accuracy inventory accuracy).
  • Develop and manage the annual warehouse operating budget controlling costs and driving efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal environmental and safety regulations (e.g. OSHA).
  • Manage inventory control processes including cycle counting and physical inventories to ensure high accuracy in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma or other methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other departments including transportation procurement and customer service to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics.

Automation Project Leadership (Approx. 50%)

  • Develop and execute a multi-year automation strategy and roadmap for the distribution center.
  • Lead the entire lifecycle of automation projects from initial concept and business case development to vendor selection implementation testing and go-live.
  • Conduct research and stay current on emerging warehouse automation technologies including Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) goods-to-person systems robotic picking and advanced sortation.
  • Prepare detailed ROI analyses and present compelling business cases to senior leadership to secure project funding and approval.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for automation vendors system integrators and internal stakeholders (IT Engineering Finance).
  • Manage project timelines budgets resources and risks to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
  • Lead change management efforts including developing training programs and communication plans to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes by the warehouse team.

 

 


Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in finance Accounting Supply Chain Management Logistics or a related field.

35 years of experience in progressive experience in warehouse distribution or fulfillment center management.

Leadership role with direct responsibility for managing teams and operational budgets.

Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders

Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Exceptional communication interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate at all levels of the organization.
