Lead supplier development and sourcing diversification initiatives across China South-East Asia and East Asia and other strategic regions for Small Mechanical Parts commodities. The role focuses on building a resilient competitive supply base reducing supply chain risk and ensuring continuity of supply by assessing and strengthening suppliers end-to-end supply chains including raw material sourcing sub-tier suppliers capacity and operational capabilities.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Develop supplier capabilities across China South-East Asia and East Asia to improve capacity quality delivery performance and total cost competitiveness.
Execute regional sourcing supplier diversification dual-sourcing and regionalization strategies aligned with global commodity objectives.
Assess end-to-end supply chain risks including raw materials sub-suppliers capacity constraints and geopolitical exposure and drive mitigation actions.
Identify synergies across Small Mechanical Parts commodities to drive supplier consolidation and shared sourcing strategies.
Lead product and supplier qualification programs to accelerate capacity expansion and supply diversification.
Manage the full supplier lifecycle including onboarding commercial negotiations and contract implementation.
Monitor supplier performance through audits and business reviews to drive continuous improvement in safety quality delivery and cost metrics.
Partner with Engineering Quality Operations and Logistics teams to support product launches and supply continuity.
Drive cost reduction value engineering and productivity initiatives while reporting on key performance indicators like diversification progress and sourcing effectiveness.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Supply Chain or a related field.
Proven experience in strategic sourcing supplier development or commodity management within a manufacturing environment.
Strong supplier negotiation stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
Experience developing suppliers and managing sourcing activities across China and South-East Asia.
Knowledge of supplier qualification capacity planning supply chain risk management and business continuity.
Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English and comfortable working in a global cross-functional environment.
Preferred
Masters degree or MBA.
Lean Six Sigma certification.
Experience sourcing mechanical components industrial products or engineered parts.
