Sr. Manager External Affairs

OBJECTIVE:

• Drive national govt relationships with State Council and ministries like NMPA MoST MOFCOM as well as related government directly managed or affiliated agencies embassies trade associations think-tank organization KOLs
• Monitor track and analyze related government policies and provide policy insights to help Danaher to form strategies including key central government meetings (like the Two Sessions) US-China trade issues and ministry level policies that related to Danaher industry policies etc.
• Work with Danaher Platforms/OpCos to identify engagement opportunities to elevate Danahers position in front of government bodies
• Initiate projects to work with govt or affiliated research institutes/associations/think-tank organizations to build a sustainable development of the industry by shaping policies and participating draft of Danaher related technical standard etc.
• Organize high-level government meetings for Danaher global or China executives to enhance Danaher reputation and also help global executive to better understand government policies
• Proactively communicate Danaher unique value with related government bodies and ensure have a seat on the table for key governmental meetings events and build Danaher as a trusted partner for central government on key issues and industry development
• Proactively drive favorable policies/government support to Danaher and its OpCos for instance policy deployment projects government subsidies green channels white list etc.
• Work with ExA peers on other key initiatives
• Be able to work with regional GA team to implement complex projects with coordination from Central government level

ACCOUNTABILITIES/KPI:

• Establish and strengthen above mentioned govt customer outreach.
• Build Danahers as a trusted partner for related ministries and get high level govt support Develop key stakeholder mapping (govt and affiliated organizations) related policy mapping and positions Initiate and manage cooperation programs/MoUs with close communication with Danaher internal stakeholder to maximize the business impact.
• Other ad hoc projects that assigned by the line manager
• Be able to initiate design and implement elated projects working w. other team members or businesses

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Education background:

• Bachelors degree or above in Life Science Biopharma Economics Public Administration Public Health Trade Foreign Affairs Public Relations preferred At least 8 years Public Affairs/Govt Affairs related working experience with government Fortune 500 MNC famous Chambers/Association/NGOs in China best in healthcare industry with established network and contacts in key ministries
• Professional knowledge and skills: rich experience in government communication excellent capabilities of communication coordination and persuasion fluent English writing and speaking proficiency in computer skills (Office Outlook etc.)
• Good understanding of healthcare sector Score-added: successful experience in crisis management investment affairs and senior GR platform at central/regional level of Danaher business related
• Must be independent and flexible carrying out work activities and effective at building relationship both internally and externally proactive self-motivated clear thinking opening-minded teamwork customer focus good at working in a matrix team
• Be able to work under pressure and travel frequently
• Willing to be take additional work and be proactive in looking for opportunities to support businesses
• Previous government working experience preferred
