Job Summary
Lead the synthesis formulation and development of high-performance solvent-based pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) and UV adhesives for films labels and tapes.
Manage adhesive development project plans strategically prioritizing tasks based on business impact and market urgency and leading projects from prototype to commercialization.
Conduct hands-on polymerization and advanced synthesis of solvent/UV adhesives ensuring adhesives performance meet CTQ requirements.
Actively partner with product development and Product management teams to translate customer needs and market trends into technical specifications and innovative adhesive solutions.
Establish and lead new adhesive platforms research for high-value categories (more functionality PSA).
To build and expand adhesive technology through the literature and intelligence research new scientific discovery and external ecosystem.
To collaborate and share knowledge within the technical group coaching and mentoring junior chemists and technicians to elevate team capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation troubleshoot complex technical issues and promote new products.
Lead the quality design and oversee the scale-up process ensuring a seamless transition from lab to mass production.
A Safety First mindset ensuring all protocols are strictly followed and continuously improved.
Qualifications :
- Education & Experience: Master with 8 years of hands-on R&D experience in PSA or Structural Adhesives; or a PhD with 5 years of relevant experience in the field of Chemistry Polymer Science Material science Chemical engineering.
Technical Core: Expert-level knowledge in solvent-based PSA synthesis and polymerization mechanisms. Proficiency in UV adhesive technology is highly preferred.
Added Value: Experience with structural adhesives or other functional bonding materials is a significant plus.
Industry Expertise: Proven track record in adhesive applications for New Energy Automotive and Electronics sectors.
Commercial Acumen: Strong awareness of market dynamics and the ability to work effectively with cross teams to drive project success.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and project leadership skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative Spirit: A team player who values transparency mentors others and thrives in cross-regional/cross-functional collaborations.
Language: Proficient in English with technical writing and presentation ability.
Safety Mindset: Unwavering commitment to laboratory safety and chemical regulations (REACH RoHS etc.).
