Job Summary
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the Cyclotron system design integration verification installation and lifecycle support of cyclotron-based medical imaging and radiopharmaceutical production systems. This role serves as a technical leader across multidisciplinary teams ensuring system performance reliability safety regulatory compliance and serviceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the system-level design and architecture of cyclotron subsystems translating product requirements into technical specifications.
* Perform system integration verification and validation activities including test plan development and execution.
* Conduct root cause analysis of complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software hardware clinical and regulatory departments.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications test reports and risk assessments.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
* Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends in medical imaging and system engineering.
* Ensure compliance with relevant medical device regulations (e.g. FDA CE) and quality management systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Physics Systems Engineering Nuclear Engineering or related technical discipline. Experience with cyclotrons particle accelerators medical imaging systems radiopharmaceutical production equipment or other high-energy physics systems is highly preferred.
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience including significant experience in complex system development.
Experience with systems engineering methodologies and product lifecycle management.
Experience of leading technical investigations and root cause analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Project leadership demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
