The job
We areseekinga strategic and execution-oriented Senior Portfolio Leader toestablishand lead a new portfolio management function in China. This role is pivotal to ensuring that AVEVAs product strategy and roadmapare alignedwith the unique needs of the China market. The successful candidate willbe responsible fordefining and prioritizing product requirements collaborating with global and local stakeholders and ensuring the successful delivery of localized solutions that support AVEVAs growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

  • Portfolio Strategy & Planning:Define andmaintainthe China-specific product portfolio strategy in alignment with opportunities and translate them into actionable product plans.
  • Market & Customer Insight:Serve as the voice of the China market within the global portfolio organization. Gather and synthesize customer feedback competitive intelligence and regulatory insights to inform product direction.
  • Requirements Management:Lead the definition and prioritization of epics features and user stories for China-specific product releases. Ensure clarity and alignment across engineering product and commercial teams.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:Collaborate with R&D sales marketing and customer success teams to ensure successful product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Team Formation & Development:Build and mentor a local portfolio management team. Provide coaching career development and succession planning.
  • CommercialSupport:Partner with China commercial teamsaroundcommercial modelpricing go-to-marketand customer success.
  • Governance & Reporting:Establish KPIs manage budgets and report progress to global and regional leadership. Ensure transparency and accountability across the portfolio lifecycle.

Essential requirements

  • 10 years of experience in product or portfolio management with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex product portfolios in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of industrial software markets particularly in China.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent inMandarin andEnglish.
  • Bachelors orMasters degree in Engineering Business ora relatedfield.

Desired skills

  • Experience launching or localizing software products for the China market.
  • Familiarity with HMI/SCADA engineering design or data infrastructure products.
  • Ability tooperateeffectively across time zones and cultures.
  • Strategic thinkerwith ahands-onapproach to execution.
