Senior Director, Technology Innovation, Danaher China

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of Diagnostics Life Sciences and Biotechnology market dynamics and growth trajectories across both Chinese and global landscapes.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Danahers three core platforms associated technologies and developmental pathways as well as potential areas for technological integration.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive open innovation strategy to identify evaluate and secure partnerships with Chinese companies institutes and startups excelling in precision hardware software AI data analytics and digital health solutions.
• Proactively scout the Chinese innovation ecosystem to source technologies that can enhance our product portfolios functionality connectivity intelligence and manufacturability.
• Lead the entire partnership lifecycle: from initial sourcing and technical due diligence to structuring collaboration agreements joint development plans and managing strategic alliances.
• Act as the key liaison between external Chinese innovation partners and our internal global R&D engineering and product management teams ensuring seamless integration of co-developed technologies.
• Monitor the competitive and technology landscape in China providing strategic intelligence on emerging trends and disruptive innovations.
• Establish and nurture deep relationships with leading Chinese KOLs academic institutions research hospitals pharmaceutical companies biotechs and manufacturing centers of excellence.
• Lead the activities of Danaher China Innovation Community facilitating engagement with R&D and business leaders and providing S&T and innovation training and education.
• Cultivate new technical and business talents within the market.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ph.D degree in Life Science Biomedical Engineering Biology Biochemistry Bioinformatics Computational Biology Computer Science Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• Extensive experience in the Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical/Diagnostics industries; Expertise with related applications and technologies patents and other intellectual property.
• Experience having successfully led meaningful Business Development R&D or other Innovation functions.
• Established research track record as evidenced by publications and/or professional accomplishments.
• Experience in project management partnership management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to combine and apply scientific/technical and business knowledge apply lateral thinking skills and demonstrate strong business acumen with an ability to make balanced decisions.
• Excellent cross-culture interpersonal organization communication and influencing skills in both Chinese and English.
• Experience influencing various stakeholders to effect change and achieve results in a dynamic complex environment.
