Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Utilizes advanced risk assessment methodologies such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify potential hazards assess risk severity and probability and develop robust risk mitigation strategies.
Reviews and improves product safety processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness recommends process enhancements and resource allocation adjustments to optimize team performance and achieve departmental goals.
Collaborates strategically with regulatory bodies and industry associations to forecast future regulatory trends and proactively influence industry standards publishes research findings and contributes to industry publications.
Serves as a recognized subject matter expert (SME) in product safety providing strategic counsel and guidance to internal and external stakeholders represents Philips in high-level regulatory discussions and industry working groups.
Champions a culture of proactive product safety throughout Philips by leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive product safety strategy aligning it with Philips overall business objectives and ensuring best-in-class safety across all product lines.
Strategizes and implements innovative approaches to mitigate emerging safety trends and technological risks influences product roadmaps to proactively address these risks before development begins.
Participates in discussions and negotiations with regulatory authorities to achieve optimal safety outcomes while ensuring business feasibility and uninterrupted organizational operations.
Provides guidance to team members on complex product safety challenges imparting subject matter knowledge on relevant topics and encouraging ownership of solutions.
Oversees and continually optimizes a robust product safety management system ensuring meticulous traceability of all risk management activities and compliance with relevant quality standards.
Leads and conducts internal audits to identify and address potential gaps in the system fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Manages talent across the team while driving employee selection performance management compensation management career development and ensuring effective operational management.

Minimum required Education:
Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electronics Engineering Science or equivalent.

Minimum required Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelors OR Minimum 3 years of experience with Masters in areas such as Quality Engineering Safety Engineering Process Engineering or equivalent.

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companys facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companys main facilities generally at the customers or suppliers locations.
