Regional VOS Director

POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional VOS Director serves as the regional leader for the deployment governance and sustainability of the Vertiv Operating System (VOS) across all manufacturing sites within the assigned region. Accountable for translating global VOS strategy into consistent regional execution this role ensures standardized deployment capability development and operational excellence while driving alignment with global VOS standards Strategy Deployment Tier Accountability and the Order-to-Fulfillment (OTF) Operating Model.

Acting as the primary strategic partner to Regional Operations Leadership the Regional VOS Director provides direction coaching and governance to Site VOS Managers ensuring disciplined execution of Leader Standard Work problem-solving (RCA) escalation processes and continuous improvement methodologies across the region. The role is responsible for developing organizational capability through structured training mentoring certification and succession planning while fostering a culture of accountability transparency and operational excellence.

As the regional Lean and VOS subject matter expert (SME) the Regional VOS Director ensures consistent interpretation and application of global standards identifies systemic improvement opportunities and drives cross-site knowledge sharing and best-practice replication. The position oversees regional VOS maturity monitors deployment effectiveness through defined performance indicators and ensures all sites are prepared to achieve and sustain VOS Capability Assessment requirements.

Ultimately the Regional VOS Director enables sustainable business performance by providing regional leadership strengthening manufacturing capability aligning local execution with global operational strategy and embedding a culture of continuous improvement that delivers measurable results across safety quality delivery cost inventory and people development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional VOS Strategy Deployment & Governance

• Lead the deployment governance and sustainment of the Vertiv Operating System (VOS) across all manufacturing sites within the assigned region ensuring consistent execution of global standards.
• Translate global VOS strategy into a regional deployment roadmap with defined priorities milestones governance and measurable business outcomes.
• Ensure all regional sites comply with global VOS standards templates controlled documentation and Rules of Engagement preventing unauthorized regional or site deviations.
• Drive consistent implementation and maturity across all 17 VOS elements while ensuring alignment with global deployment priorities.

Regional Leadership & Site VOS Management

• Lead develop and mentor the regional VOS organization providing direction coaching and performance management to all Site VOS Managers.
• Establish clear regional deployment priorities objectives and accountability for each manufacturing site.
• Build organizational capability through succession planning talent development mentoring and structured career progression for VOS professionals.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across sites to accelerate deployment maturity and replicate best practices.

Regional Tier Accountability & Operating Cadence

• Ensure standardized implementation and sustainment of Tier Accountability across all manufacturing sites in accordance with global standards.
• Govern regional operating rhythms through regular deployment reviews Tier effectiveness assessments and leadership cadence meetings.
• Monitor execution quality of Tier systems ensuring leadership engagement KPI ownership and effective escalation across the region.
• Drive regional consistency in Daily Management Systems while supporting continuous improvement of operating routines.

Regional Performance Management & KPI Governance

• Own regional VOS performance governance by monitoring deployment progress operational KPIs and maturity indicators across all sites.
• Ensure standardized KPI definitions reporting methodologies and performance management processes throughout the region.
• Analyze regional performance trends identify systemic gaps and develop cross-site improvement strategies.
• Provide Regional Operations Leadership and Global VOS Leadership with accurate deployment status business performance and risk assessments.

Problem Solving RCA & Escalation

• Ensure structured problem-solving methodologies are consistently deployed and sustained throughout the region.
• Govern regional escalation processes for significant operational deployment and capability risks requiring executive visibility.
• Promote systematic root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies across all manufacturing sites.
• Coach Site VOS Managers and regional leadership teams on effective problem-solving escalation discipline and sustainable corrective action.

Capability Building & Organizational Development

• Develop and execute the regional VOS capability-building strategy ensuring standardized training certification and competency development.
• Ensure all sites maintain compliance with global training requirements and certification standards.
• Coach Regional Operations Leadership Site Leaders and Site VOS Managers on VOS principles leadership behaviors and deployment expectations.
• Promote a learning culture through regional workshops best-practice sharing and cross-site collaboration.

Leader Standard Work (LSW)

• Ensure Leader Standard Work is consistently deployed executed and sustained across all manufacturing sites.
• Monitor leadership adherence to standard routines through audits coaching and governance reviews.
• Drive alignment between Leader Standard Work Tier Accountability Strategy Deployment and performance management processes.
• Reinforce leadership discipline through standardized regional operating practices.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Deployment

• Lead regional deployment of Lean methodologies including 5S1 Standard Work TPM Material Flow Visual Management and continuous improvement systems.
• Identify and prioritize regional improvement opportunities with measurable business impact.
• Promote replication of successful improvement initiatives and best practices across all manufacturing sites.
• Ensure improvements are standardized documented and sustained throughout the region.

Order-to-Fulfillment (OTF) Integration

• Ensure consistent integration of VOS deployment with the Order-to-Fulfillment Operating Model across all regional manufacturing sites.
• Support deployment of global OTF processes and ensure alignment between VOS governance and operational execution.
• Partner with regional functional leaders to improve end-to-end operational performance customer delivery and business results.
• Monitor OTF deployment maturity and drive resolution of cross-functional execution gaps.

Regional Capability Assessments & Audit Governance

• Govern regional readiness for all VOS Capability Assessments including Rookie Challenger and future certification levels.
• Validate site readiness through regional reviews pre-assessments coaching and deployment maturity evaluations.
• Coordinate assessment planning auditor support and closure of regional corrective actions.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and application of global assessment standards across all manufacturing sites.

Cross-Functional Regional Leadership

• Partner with Regional Operations Quality Supply Chain Engineering EHS HR and Manufacturing leaders to ensure integrated VOS deployment.
• Align functional initiatives with VOS deployment priorities and operational objectives.
• Eliminate organizational silos by promoting standardized processes and enterprise-wide collaboration.
• Represent VOS in regional leadership forums and strategic business reviews.

Standardization & Documentation Governance

• Ensure regional compliance with global VOS documentation standards and controlled document management processes.
• Partner with Global VOS and Document Control teams to deploy revisions and maintain standardization.
• Drive adoption of a single global standard across all manufacturing sites while preventing unauthorized local variations.

Digital & Systems Integration

• Promote effective use of digital platforms dashboards ERP MES and business intelligence tools to strengthen operational visibility.
• Ensure consistent utilization of digital systems to support Tier Accountability KPI management and operational decision-making.
• Identify regional opportunities to improve operational efficiency through digital enablement and automation.

Leadership Culture & Change Management

• Serve as the regional change leader for VOS deployment driving cultural transformation across all manufacturing sites.
• Influence Regional Operations Leadership to reinforce accountability operational discipline and continuous improvement behaviors.
• Build a culture of transparency ownership standardization and operational excellence throughout the region.
• Champion employee engagement and leadership commitment to VOS at every organizational level.

Executive Communication & Governance

• Provide regular deployment updates business reviews and strategic recommendations to Global VOS Leadership and Regional Executive Leadership.
• Prepare regional deployment reports governance reviews and executive presentations for MORs and other leadership forums.
• Communicate deployment risks mitigation plans resource requirements and performance results with clarity and transparency.

Regional Sustainment & Continuous Maturity

• Ensure long-term sustainment of VOS deployment across all manufacturing sites through governance coaching and auditing.
• Continuously evaluate regional deployment maturity and establish strategic roadmaps for capability advancement.
• Prevent regression through disciplined governance leadership accountability and standardized assessment processes.
• Drive the region toward progressively higher levels of VOS capability and operational excellence while supporting global strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Supply Chain Industrial Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operational excellence Lean or continuous improvement.
• Minimum of 5 years leading multi-site or regional operational excellence Lean or manufacturing organizations.
• Proven experience deploying and sustaining manufacturing operating systems across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Experience working within global organizations and cross-functional matrix environments.

Lean & Operational Excellence

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required; Master Black Belt preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading large-scale operational transformation and driving measurable business results.

Manufacturing Operations

• Strong understanding of manufacturing operating systems including Daily Management Tier Accountability Strategy Deployment Leader Standard Work 5S Standard Work TPM Material Flow and Visual Management.
• Experience integrating operational excellence into end-to-end manufacturing processes.

Leadership & Change Management

• Proven ability to lead coach and develop high-performing teams across multiple sites.
• Strong leadership communication coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience driving organizational change and influencing senior leadership.

Business & Analytical Skills

• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
• Experience using KPIs data analysis and operational dashboards to drive performance improvements.
• Familiarity with ERP MES Power BI or similar manufacturing systems.

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to travel extensively (4060%) throughout the assigned region.
• Fluent in English; additional regional language skills are a plus.

Travel time required: 50%
