Product Director, Antibody Solutions (China & APAC)

TheProductDirector Antibody Solutions(China& APAC)is responsible fordevelopingastrategyand execution of tactical actions todriverevenue growthforthe portfolio within Chinaby infusingproductand marketexpertiseintocollaborations withthebroaderAbcam organizationincluding marketing commercial digitalmanufacturingandR&D.

This position reports to theSenior Director Antibody Solutionsand is part of theProductManagementteamlocatedinShanghai Chinaor Singaporeand will be an on-site role.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the development ofacountry-specificlevel strategy at short- mid- and long-term horizons in line with overall portfolio strategy and translate it into tactical actions for direct execution and in conjunction with cross-functional teams across Abcam to driverevenue growth in particular the localCommercial team

• Develop and refineexpertisein the product portfolio and corresponding market customerand competitive landscapesandclearly articulate itto inform discussions and decisions related to strategy new product development go-to-market manufacturing / supply chainqualityand other key activities

• Implement and supportlocal and globalgo-to-market activitiesacross all channelsand activities e.g. digital(e.g. SEOimage data)field (e.g. training)custom product assessment / pricingpromotion development

• Facilitate collaboration and coordination betweenlocal and global teams to supporttheAbcam portfolioin Chinaand in thebroader APACregion throughidentifyingand advocating forlocallytailoredproduct dataexecution oflocalpricingstrategyidentification and monitoring of aligned localkey performance indicatorslocalproductperformance management support for criticalregionally focused projects (e.g. China-for-China sourcing)androbustanalysisor local trendsthatdrivesinsights andcan be clearlycommunicatedto senior leadership

• As a strategic product leader provide mentorship and coaching across the product organization to elevate team capabilities cross-functional collaboration and drive best-in-class product practices

The essential requirements of the jobinclude:

• BA BSc or equivalent experience in a life scienceor related field e.g. biologybiochemistrygeneticswith5years ofpost-educationalexperience in product/portfolio management technical support R&D or related arearesulting in working knowledge of both relevant scientific techniques and businessprocesses

• Strong communicationskills both verbaland written in both professional / business English andMandarin

• Strong business acumenincludingknowledge oflife sciencemarketandunderstandingof life science customertypesand the ability to be effective at drivingandstrongtrack recordof successimplementingbusiness prioritiesacross multiple channels and at multiple organizational levels

• Analyticalmindset thatenablesdata driven decision makingwith experience apply that topricingproduct dataperformance monitoringandsynthesizingcomplexapproachesand resultsintomeaningful insightsand actionsthatbecan easily communicated

• Ability to be andtrack recordof beingextremely effective in driving cross-functional collaborationthrough strongwritten and verbalcommunicationat all levelsofanorganization and externallyproject managementandprocess improvementskill sets

Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travelup to 20% domestically and internationally

It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:

• Usingadvanced analysis / visualization tools e.g.Tableau

• Relevant advanced degreee.g.Ph.D.in life science MD MBA

• Workingwith a global team and supporting customers across varyingglobalmarket environments
