About the Role

TheProcurement Manager Logistics Warehouse & Distributionpart of the GlobalCMOand Logistics Procurement organization willbe responsible for orchestrating and executing regional/market sourcing strategies for Warehousing and Leg C customer distribution in China/APAC in alignment with global category strategy and standards.

This role manages the warehousing and distribution spend categories to deliver the required business outcomes across Haleons Operating Unit (OU) in China/APACensuring customer service (OTIF) operational excellence and reliability cost efficiency and sustainability. The role partners closely with QSC operations and customer facing teams Finance Quality Legal Sustainability and external third-party logistics service providers (LSPs). You will ensure supporting teams correctly implement agreed commercial and operational outcomes and as necessary resolve any commercial escalations.

In this role you will manage a regional spend of 20m to drive leveraged value for Haleon.

Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy Development

• Manage a spend of 20 m for W&D category in scope regionally.
• In alignment with global standards create comprehensive regional sourcing strategies for W&D category in scope of responsibility operating with a truly global and strategic mindset having a clear understanding of how global strategies affect local markets and how global and OU strategies align.
• Manage strategic sourcing initiatives for W&D in line with regional business priorities and contract life cycle management.
• Identify end-to-end synergy and value creation opportunities across W&D (e.g. Leg B Leg D).

• Ensure regional strategies reflect Haleons sustainability objectives.
• Ensure all appropriate inflation metrics for the W&D catgeory are tracked in support of Haleon Financial reporting for in scope Region (Annual Business Plan CMF/LE and LRP/IGD).

Supplier Management

• Manage W&D relationships with external third-party logistics service providers (LSPs) in line with overall Haleon P4G Framework for Logistics Procurement.
• Build strategic relationships with key W&D suppliers regionally and lead processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships.
• Ensure global and regional considerations are accounted for in supplier relationships.
• Manage the W&D supply base for the categories within scope through a robust performance management process. Ensure supplier performance is understood and measured through regular reviews.
• Manage all regional W&D contract standards planning negotiation execution interpretation and maintenance to secure competitive pricing service reliability and ongoing contract compliance.
• Develop and Implement Operational excellence strategies and plans for key global suppliers to drive improvements against W&D KPIs.

Cost Optimization & Value Creation

• Conduct market analysis toidentifyopportunities for cost savings efficiency and supplier innovation.
• Deploy standardized global W&D benchmark tools for the in-scope region and review/refresh based on agreed cadence maintaining all supporting real estate labor rate and productivity references as required.

• Collaborate with QSC operations and customer facing teams to implement and drive agreed initiatives and improvement programs.
• Ensure financial benefits are managed in accordance with the QSCP Finance Savings Methodology ensuring OU and Finance agreement to financial value delivered and transparency on treatment of benefits in the budgeting process.

• Maintain on a monthly basis an accurate overview of in year and pipeline initiatives in Haleon financial reporting systems (e.g. Galaxy) and provide productivity input to Haleon Financial reporting (Annual Business Plan CMF/LE and LRP/IGD).

Risk Management

• Monitor market intelligence & regulatory developments affecting the W&D category for the in-scope region.
• Ensure W&D Catgeory alignment with Haleon Supplier Resilience Programme.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with QSC operations and customer facing teams to understand market demands and operational requirements.
• Work cross-functionally with Haleons Operating Unit (OU) in China/APAC QSC operations and customer facing teams Finance Quality Legal and Sustainability.
• Provide procurementexpertiseduring Go-To-Market or Distribution Channel projects involving or adjacent to W&D Category e.g.: Leg D.
• Influence key regional stakeholders and OU business partners to support strategy development endorse recommended strategies supportexecutionand agree how benefit delivery will be budgeted.

Procurement Governance

• Ensure all procurement activities follow Haleon policies and ethical sourcing standards.
• Manage contracts supplier onboarding and compliance documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelors Degree

Area of Specialisation: Procurement Business Supply Chain / Logistics

• 5 years of experience in a similar procurement or operational supply chain role.

• FMCG/CPG incl. food or Consumer Health/OTC experience.
• Knowledge of Procurement tools such as sourcing quotation analysis contract negotiation supplier review supplier development and others.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing categories particularly category strategy development and implementation stakeholder management and supplier relationship management.
• Strong knowledge of finance (cost benchmark financial audit with key suppliers) and legal matters (contracting).
• Specialist knowledge and practical logistics experience in managing W&D category in a regional/global sourcing context and/or demonstrated 3PL logistics operation capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to forge close business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at management level. Understanding business value business priorities and translating that into driving strategies for competitive commercial advantage.
• Highly developed commercial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering logistics and/or sourcing transformations.
• Successful multi-year track record in delivering year on year savings or continuous improvements in a challenging economic climate.
• Skilled negotiator adept at managing complex negotiations / influencing at management level with both external and internal stakeholders.
• In depth understanding of logistics environment & supplier relationship models.
• Experience managing the delivery of logistics or warehouse projects (project and change management experience with strong leadership) and with end-to-end service / operations management.
• Strong analytical written and verbal communications and influencing skills.
• Able to work independently to tight deadlines in a high-pressure matrix environment and with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
