Market Manager Greater China
Job Summary
- Management and overall responsibility for the market presence in Greater China (Mainland China Hong Kong Taiwan)
- Managing and coaching the team of currently 10 full time employees in our offices in Beijing Shanghai and Hong Kong as well as 1 part time mandate in Taipeh
- Implementation coordination as well as execution of STs strategic goals and marketing strategy in Greater China
- Execution of the annual planning with budget responsibility in Greater China
- Promoting and extending integrated marketing measures
- Marketing activities with a strong focus on on-line communication and distribution channels travel trade key accounts and the key media
- Maintaining and expanding the network of contacts and distribution channels
- Opening new sales channels for commercial tourism products
- Developing implementing and controlling marketing projects and the respective key performance indicators
- Collection of market intelligence consulting of partners
- Regular reporting of ongoing activities and results to the market key partners and head office
- Responsibility for finance and personnel administration
- Swiss National
- Higher education and at least 5 years professional experience
- Proven sales & marketing knowhow in a senior position (preferably in the tourism sector)
- Empathetic personality with high intercultural competences
- Managing coaching and collaborative abilities
- Entrepreneurial experience and a passion to promote Switzerland as a desirable travel destination for leisure and business
- Strong service abilities and self-motivation
- Courageous flair for experiments with strong result orientation
- Real flair for communication and new communication channels
- High degree of professionalism and service attitude
- Decisive integrative passionate and winning personality with a great sense of responsibility
- Strong personality with an entrepreneurial attitude sales talent flair for consultancy and sense of initiative
- Willingness to frequently travel within the market area as well as between Asia and Switzerland
- Fluency in German or French and English. Chinese and/or Cantonese an asset
- Entrepreneurial competence in a dynamic environment
