Marine Engineer Technical Consultant
Job Summary
We are seeking for a talented Marine Technical Consultant to join Maritime Advisory China team.
This position will be involved in shaft alignment analysis shaft vibration analysis technical due diligence fleet decarbonization pathway development energy saving transition and other consulting businesses. This role requires not only hands-on marine machinery expertise but also professional consulting awareness and business analysis capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform machinery system technical advisory including shaft alignment calculations shaft vibration analysis troubleshooting on machinery failures
- Execute full-cycle technical and commercial due diligence for marine assets conduct on-site or document-based machinery condition assessment review maintenance ship performance records and survey reports.
- Conduct decarbonization consulting projects e.g. GHG emissions assessment vessel energy efficiency analysis fuel selection decarbonization pathways development and implementation plans
- Collaborate with cross-regional teams to advance project execution involve in project coordination and schedule management
- Engage and participate in on-site audit / measurements according to business needs.

Qualifications
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors / Masters degree in Marine Engineering or comparable engineering disciplines
- 3 years working experiences in the maritime industry good understanding of shipping and decarbonization oversea sailing experience as Second Engineer or Third Engineer is highly preferred.
- In-depth practical knowledge of marine engine systems vessel machinery operation and maintenance; work experience on dual fuel system would be advantageous.
- Possess a strong consulting mindset capable of analyzing the data systematically delivering structured solutions communicating professionally with internal and international stakeholders and working in a project-based business environment
- Knowledge on EEDI EEXI CII FuelEU IMO GHG regulations and compliance
- Good written & verbal English proficiency for drafting reports and cross-border communication
- Takes a proactive approach to personal development to learn and continuously update skillset
- Knowledge on programming dashboard/tool/software development would be advantageous
