- Process Control Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze existing production lines to eliminate waste reduce cycle times and lower manufacturing cost using lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Design balance and optimize assembly lines workstation layouts and material workflows.
- Create update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures manufacturing routings standard rates and work instructions.
- Equipment Tooling & Automation
- Design source and implement fixtures jigs and specialized tooling to improve manufacturing repeatability and ergonomics.
- Identify opportunities for automation or equipment upgrades; author equipment specification and mange vendor timelines.
- Lead equipment installation qualification and validation processes (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Troubleshoot PLC programming motion control systems and software integrations comprising a production line.
- Keep equipment operational by developing preventive maintenance schedules and coordinating maintenance and repair.
- Quality & Troubleshooting
- Act as a technical escalation point for daily production floor issues performing root-cause analysis for systemic failures including process control exceptions.
- Execute Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) updates to mitigate production risks.
- Determine and implement corrective/preventive actions to mitigate quality concerns.
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Develop and maintain process control limits for automated equipment while interfacing with PLCs Ignition (SCADA) serialization software and MES platforms for statistical process control.
