What You Will Do

• Act as a key interface with across functional teams for key components selection in the NPI phase; identify the needs for re-design and leads the efforts
• Develop and execute Harman commodity sourcing strategy based on business needs supply base performance market situation/trends new technologies etc.
• Stay on top of the market and industry trends and provide intelligence to the organization
• Lead special procurement programs to improve procurement process and result
• Establish consistent commercial terms/conditions
• Execute effective supplier negotiations and event driven cost reductions to meet annual cost reduction goals
• Build appropriate senior level supplier relationships
• Manage the bid and quote process in NPI execution
• Establish goals improvement plans business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility
• Work with Supply Chain Sourcing and Value Engineering teams to identify potential efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities.

What You Need to Be Successful

• EE background
• 8 years procurement experience in semiconductor
• Proven leadership interpersonal communication and influence skills
• Strong analytical skill
• Proven ability to lead and achieve cost quality and time-to-market commitments
• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
• Strong presentation and writing skills
• Ability to speak clearly and express opinions well in groups and in one-to-one conversations
