Job Summary
The Company operates Snapchat a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends family and the world and Specs Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to making computing more human in addition to Bitmoji Saturn and other digital services.
What Youll Do
As the Manager Business Development for China you will lead the strategy and execution of Snaps engagement with new acquisition advertisers in the region. You will be responsible for managing a growing team focused on driving revenue and performance across a broad base of advertisers while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable innovative solutions that align with Snaps broader goals.
Responsibilities:
Build lead and inspire the BD team in China driving both revenue performance and professional growth
Develop and execute scalable data-driven business strategies to grow revenue from small and mid-sized advertisers this includes both Mid-sized customers and small scale customers that would require a scaled consistent approach to grow Same store sales
Oversee BD sales operations client success and campaign performance with a focus on customer retention and satisfaction
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing Measurement Creative and Operations teams to localize and execute go-to-market particular identify and scale best practices through scaled engagement programs
Drive operational excellence through robust process design accurate forecasting streamlined reporting and internal tooling optimization
Lead regular business reviews (weekly monthly quarterly) with a strong focus on performance analysis pipeline visibility and forward-looking forecasting
Translate market trends and customer insights into strategic plans that improve product adoption and business results
Define and continuously refine quota setting account segmentation and team structure to match evolving business needs
Monitor performance against targets build predictive models for forecasting and proactively address risk areas with data-backed interventions
Foster a culture of accountability transparency and knowledge-sharing across the BD team and broader commercial organization
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Proven leadership experience with success managing sales or account management teams at scale
Strong understanding of digital advertising and performance marketing particularly for New/Small Medium Sized clients
Analytical and strategic thinker with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced matrixed organization
Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of making data-informed decisions
Committed to building a high-performing customer-first culture
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
10 years in sales account management or marketing including at least 1 year in a leadership role
Experience managing or operating within BD/SMC-focused advertising programs
Experience in the digital media industry or at a tech platform
Bilingual in Mandarin and English
Familiarity with Chinas digital advertising ecosystem and market dynamics
Preferred Qualifications
Strong relationships with marketing decision-makers across small and mid-sized businesses in China
Solid understanding of performance marketing strategies and SMC advertiser needs
Strong analytical mindset with familiarity in media attribution models measurement frameworks and platform performance tools
Passionate about Snapchats mission and products with the drive to build impact in a fast-paced ever-evolving market
Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity and thrives in a high-growth cross-functional environment
