Innovation Engineer

We at Leggett & Platt Incorporated are searching for an Innovation Engineer within our Engineeringteam to help support our Automotivebusiness. Did you know we are the worlds leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry Thats right! Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support Motors Actuators and Massage Systems. If you join our team your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As an Innovation Engineer you will have the opportunity to driving innovation activities and projects according to the innovation process from idea to patent / proof of concept.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to company vision/mission values and safety vision

2. Lead innovations focused on new and next generation products to expand current portfolio until POC (proof of concept) and first phase support to CPD.

maintain and develop regular contact with internal and external partners suppliers innovative companies and research institutes on all relevant topics in accordance with LPA strategy and product roadmaps.

and assess new technologies relevant to LPA strategy and product roadmaps.

and maintain adequate records of technical information process methods / standards design and program information and records to support/procure reliable patent actions

all innovations are reviewed for best practice from a design to cost design to manufacture and design to requirment perspective to ensure competitiveness

all needed compliance and audit deliverables are met

8. Proactively participate in ideation workshops and submit ideas to the ideation list / portal

Experience:

1.2-4 years of experience in advanced development or technology scouting

2. Experienced with product development

history of idea generation and implemen
