The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities employs over 1900 staff and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications including power generation transmission and distribution oil chemical and gas industrial manufacturing semiconductor and data centers as well as building and transportation sectors.

How youll make an impact

1. You will develop implement and maintain the companys HSE Management System (HSEMS) in accordance with ISO 45001 ISO 14001 and other applicable standards and regulations also ensure full compliance with all national local and company HSE policies procedures and legal requirements.

2. You will conduct regular HSE audits inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards evaluate risks and recommend corrective actions also investigate all incidents accidents and near misses determine root causes and implement preventative measures.

3. You will develop and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs for all employees contractors and visitors also advise management on HSE performance emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.

4. You will lead the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures also promote a proactive safety culture through communication engagement and employee involvement initiatives liaise with regulatory bodies external auditors and other relevant organizations on HSE matters.

5. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health & Safety Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in HSE management preferably within a multinational manufacturing or engineering environment.

3. Demonstrated expertise in developing implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certified management systems.

4. In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and best practices.

5. Proven experience in conducting risk assessments incident investigations and HSE audits.

6. Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

7. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
