HSE Engineer II

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance of laboratory safaty programspolicies and procedures.
• Ensure saft handing storageuse and disposal of chemicals and any hazardous or nonhazardous material according to Company police and local regulatory requirments.
• Develop and deliver laboratory safety training programs.
• Complete the HSE related communications.
• Lead investigation of lab incidents near misses and unsafe conditions.
• Implement the contractor management safety
• Conduct routine HSE related work including waste management environmental monitoring and industrial hygiene monitoring etc.
• Maintain laboratory emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills.
• Plan and conduct laboratory safety inspections and internal audits.
• Collaborate with R&D QA Facilities and external service providers.
• Serve as the laboratory safety subject matter expert for audits and inspections.
• Cooperate with other team work.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or relevant degree or above in Engineer associated Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
• Professional safety certifications are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory hazards HSE management and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with Chinese HSE regulations and ISO standards (ISO 45001 ISO 14001).
• Strong communication leadership and influencing skills.

Experience

• 15 years of experience in laboratory safety EHS or HSE roles.
• Experience in R&D electronics engineering or life sciences Safety & Environments preferred.
• Experience in multinational or regulated environments is an advantage.
