Head of Gov Affairs & Market Access

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Head of Government Affairs & Market Access located in Beijing or Shanghai.

The Head of Government Affairs (GA) and Market Access (MA) is responsible for shaping and driving the companys strategic engagement with governmental bodies regulatory agencies medical insurance authorities and hospitaldecisionmakersat both centraland provincial levels toensurean external / regulatory environment that accelerates innovation adoption and supports company mission of improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Government Affairs (GA)

• Develop and execute a proactive government affairs strategy aligned with company growth priorities in China.

• Monitor policy development across device regulation innovation pathways reimbursement reforms and procurementpolicies;and providetimelyinternal intelligence.

• Lead advocacy initiatives to support adoption of innovative technologies and products

• Build andmaintaintrusted relationships and provide strategic support for regulatory and compliancerelated government engagement.

• Coordinate issue management and crisis response involving regulators or government stakeholders.

• Market Access (MA)

• Lead national and provincial market access strategies for tendering and VBP (VolumeBased Procurement) products to safeguard business interests while enabling patient access

• Oversee health economics value dossiers and evidencegeneration strategies to support reimbursement and hospital access.

• Manage relationships with authorities tofacilitatepricing payment andcoveragedecisions. Support sales and business units on hospital listing pricing submissions reimbursement pathways and tender negotiations.

• Track DRG/DIP payment reforms and shape access strategies accordingly.

• Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and develop a highperforming GA/MA team covering policy access and tendering functions.

• Partner with commercial marketing medical affairs R&D regulatory and supply chain teams to support product launches and lifecycle planning.

• Advisesenior management with policy insights business impacts and strategic options.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in government affairs market access or health policy in theHealthCareindustry; medicaldeviceispreferred.

• Deep understanding of Chinas healthcare ecosystem reimbursement landscape DRG/DIP reforms VBP and medical device regulatory processes.

• Strong external engagement capability with proven success interacting with government and hospitaldecisionmakers.

• Excellent communication(both Chinese and English) influence and strategic thinking skills.

• Integritycompliancemindset and strong leadership.
  Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies as may be required regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
