Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Job Summary
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Serve as a critical business partner & drive a consistent strategic vision for EHS across the organization
1. Align with MSol Global EHS & AP EHS strategies initiatives systems & expectations to drive safety awareness engagement and incident prevention.
2. Partner with leadership to integrate health environment and safety programs activities & routines providing EHS leadership expertise & guidance.
Oversee the development implementation and ensure effectiveness of EHS programs locally
1. Develop effectively implement monitor and review health environment & safety policies procedures & standards in alignment with Emerson local regulatory & customer EHS expectations.
2. Develop and ensure EHS-related training programs are in place and effectively deployed by measuring performance and compliance.
3. Maintain a thorough understanding of related laws/regulations and emerging issues to ensure compliance with all local and regional regulations.
4. Lead internal and external inspections & audits ensuring Management Systems are effective and in conformance to ISO 9001 ISO 17025 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Standards. Ensuring corrective actions are monitored documented and closed timely.
5. Analyze EHS statistics prepare reports/ dashboards make recommendations and implement effective control measures and procedures to eliminate or reduce the risk of recurrences.
6. Share best practices and lessons learned effectively to enable continual improvement.
7. Provide leadership in any interactions with local or regional regulatory agencies.
8. Support ad-hoc assignments and/or responsibilities assigned by leadership.
Oversee the development implementation and application of effective EHS deployment at Emerson customers and/ or vendors sites
1. Directs incident investigation process using root-cause analyses tools (e.g. Fault Tree Analysis FMEA) to identify countermeasures and follow to closure.
2. Work with key stakeholders ( Supply Chain Quality HR Contracts/Legal) to establish sustainable methods for ensuring 3rd party (Customers contractors vendors) EHS requirements are met and communicated.
3. Review organization regulatory and customer EHS requirements and lead actions to confirm compliance as needed.
4. Develop emergency response process for regional area to minimize risk to field services.
5. Analyze the impact of safety environment and health compliance on proposed projects.
6. Oversee and maintain positive relationships with cross function teams EHS-related vendors and contractors to ensure health & safety procedures are followed and all key safety KPIs are achieved.
Who You Are:

For This Role You Will Need:
1. Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Science or Engineering.
2. Certified Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) or equivalent preferred.
3. Expertise in Environmental Health Safety laws and regulations.
4. Ability to travel and work in outdoor environments as needed.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to relate to all kinds of people and build relationships based on trust and credibility.
7. Effective in a variety of communication settings: one-on-one small and large groups and among diverse styles and position levels.
8. Be willing and able to collaborate and influence management in different groups such as Operations Training Supply Chain Logistics and Quality.
9. Creates strategies and execution plans that show a clear connection between vision and action.
10. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook etc.).
11. 5 years of experience developing implementing and maintaining Environmental Health and Safety programs in manufacturing or heavy industry settings.
12. Proven knowledge of relevant agency and industry standards and practices including but not limited to OSHA.
13. Experience developing and conducting EHS training policies and procedures.
14. ISO or 9001 EHS Lead Auditor experience or certification preferred.
15. Demonstrated communication leadership andinfluencing skills.
