About the Role

As a test development engineer you will contribute to the development of test systems for Harman products including test rack commissioning for release test rack operation for projects test rack maintenance in technical and financial. Explore new test technologies/method based on local trend of market especially for readiness for new technologies before test running of customer projects.

Also you will collaborate with other global teams for more smart test tools development.

What You Will Do

• Acoustic test development: work on development of acoustic testing technologies and the implementation of testing methods for car audio speaker products; conducts audio performance test development automated channel acoustic calibration remote real-time data monitoring testing database development and data reuse and testing algorithm validation; and drives the adoption of standardized in-vehicle acoustic testing solutions.
• RFQ Support: Design and implement customized automated parameter testing and endurance testing plans based on testing requirements. Test rack strategy in Test Vision System modular simulation/design and build of test rack test rack and re-usable modules digitization.
• Test rack manufacturing: work on automatic test racks including the design and manufacturing of test racks and functional modules; integrated hardware and software testing; data deviation analysis and troubleshooting; identifying test system compatibility issues; and continuously iterating to optimize test stability and efficiency.
• Test rack SW development/deployment for all products test rack commissioning and releasing. Software development and framework maintenance with a focus on automating testing processes and achieving high reusability of test scripts.
• Collaborate with R&D and project teams to support testing and development tasksincluding new product launches version updates specialized validation and test data analysisto ensure the smooth delivery of project milestones.
• Compile and document acoustic testing specifications automation development standards and test rack technical documentation to consolidate the teams testing and development assets and unify testing technical standards. Research cutting-edge testing technologies and tools in the industry to continuously optimize the teams acoustic testing capabilities and automated testing framework.
• Continuously partner with engineers inTTR global on HW/SW/Smart tools development to ensure thattest requirements are met in different projects and products fit for future.
• Innovation: Participate in laboratory-related Global initiatives and innovation activities to drive the development of the SMART Lab.
• Collaboration: Actively promote cross-departmental collaboration align with project requirements and propose recommendations for optimizing equipment methods and processes based on operational scenarios to support the on-time delivery of test development projects and the success of pre-development projects.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Acoustic Engineering Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience designing building commissioning and maintaining customized automated test systems preferably in automotive electronics audio acoustic infotainment or product validation applications. Experienced in test rack architecture definition functional module integration equipment selection system bring-up stability improvement and long-term operational support.
• Working knowledge of digital audio interfaces and in-vehicle communication protocols including A2B S/PDIF AVB CAN LIN and automotive Ethernet with the ability to apply them in validation environments and automated test systems.
• Demonstrated capability in test data analysis failure analysis root-cause investigation and structured problem solving with the ability to translate measurement results into clear conclusions corrective actions and technical recommendations.
• Solid foundation in electroacoustics with practical experience in acoustic measurement audio signal processing and automotive audio validation standards. Familiarity with acoustic-standard test platforms and instruments such as SoundCheck B&K Audio Precision or Klippel is required.
• Strong understanding of acoustic product architecture including SPK MIC amplifiers system-level audio design principles and key performance indicators used for product validation and test development.
• Experience in developing and implementing acoustic test systems covering requirements analysis system architecture design hardware and software integration measurement chain verification test method validation commissioning and release support.
• Proficiency with NI-based test platforms including LabVIEW TestStand VeriStand NI-DAQ and related instrument control tools. Able to develop reusable test software integrate third-party instruments and support deployment debugging and maintenance. Experience with Python C# or other automation programming languages is preferred.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to prepare clear technical requirements test plans issue analyses and validation reports. Effective written and spoken English communication is required for collaboration with global engineering teams.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Hands-on experience supporting audio signal verification interface debugging and system-level validation. Familiarity with broadcast technologies and GNSS technologies such as AM FM DAB and GPS.
• Hands-on experience in automotive ECU testing validation and troubleshooting including test setup preparation issue reproduction diagnostic data collection root-cause investigation and verification of corrective actions in both development and validation environments.
• Experience designing developing or maintaining databases for test data management traceability automated reporting dashboard visualization and engineering data reuse. Working knowledge of SQL or related database technologies is preferred.
• Hands-on experience applying AI or machine learning techniques to acoustic analysis anomaly detection sound quality evaluation pattern recognition or automated defect classification is preferred.
