Elementary Performing Arts and Theater Productions Teacher

A dual-language international school in Kunshan China is seeking an outstanding Elementary Performing Arts and Theater Productions Teacher for a September 2026 start.

The position combines teaching drama to elementary students with leading and supporting theater productions throughout the school. The successful candidate will inspire young performers while helping deliver high-quality productions that challenge engage and showcase students.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging drama and performing-arts lessons to elementary students.
• Develop students confidence creativity communication and performance skills.
• Plan inclusive lessons suitable for different ages and abilities.
• Lead and support theater productions across the school.
• Help students prepare for performances rehearsals and school events.
• Collaborate with teachers and school departments on creative projects.
• Contribute to the schools wider performing-arts program.
• Encourage active participation and a lasting interest in theater.
• Support students within a dual-language immersion environment.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Performing Arts Drama Theater or a related field
• Strong drama and performing-arts expertise
• Experience teaching drama in a school environment
• Excellent subject knowledge
• Passion for theater performance and student development
• Collaborative and inclusive approach to education
• Experience teaching or directing classical theater including Shakespeare is desirable
