Job Summary:

The Connectivity System Solution Division is seeking a leader to fill theEngineeringManagerLeader positionto provide leadership to people leaders. This roleis responsible forleading the team in India and positionwillprovide people and technical leadershipto project leadslocatedinIndia or positionwill manage our relationship withResource Industries (RI) Construction Industries(CI) and Power and Energy (PE)product groups across the enterprise including working very closely with Intelligent Machine System (IMS)andincluding Cat Digitalto meet customer solution position will interact regularly withotherproduct teams (flash troubleshoot and local service) IMSDigitalHelios and productteams and key stakeholders to focus on developing system requirements designing system and aligning software requirement with system requirement to meet business partners needs.

In addition this position will work regularly with customer solutions teams (core and growth) and product groups to establish a single trusted source for requirements documentationincluding marketing functional system software and hardware requirementsto effectively meet business partner and customer needsby delivering high qualityconnectivity system and solutions.

What You Will Do:

• Managing staff and activities with an emphasis on organizationalgoalsachievement professionaldevelopmentand continuous improvement.

• Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables.

• Providing leadership to create andmaintainprocesses used to designdevelopanddeliver connectivitysystems featuresandservicesfor programs and businesspartners.

• Managing engineeringproductand process or quality issues from concept through end oflife-cycle.

• Work with CatTechnology and DigitalTechbusinessand process partnerson businessobjectivesforConnectivity System.

• Collaborate with broaderglobal groupand leader(s)to meet clientsobjectivesfor delivery of Connectivity Systems

• Collaboratewithproduct groups customer solutions IMShardwarefirmware softwarecloudand business stakeholders to turn requirements intosystem requirements

• Work with members of theCI and RI tech forumto prioritizefeaturesrelatedto Tech Platformprojects that willbenefitCaterpillarcustomers

• Mentorand growteam andSMEs in China& India

• Managetheteamsprojectsbudgetand travel

What You Will Have:

• System Design & Strategy:Architecting end-to-end IoT solutions that meet the specific Connectivity requirements from Caterpillar customers. This involves understanding businessobjectives analyzing technical requirements and designing scalable and efficient architectures.

• Technical Expertise:Strong background in embedded systems firmware development cloud technologies (API AWS/Azure) and networking protocols

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking:Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

• Communicating for Impact:Knowledge of the concepts tools and techniques for effective listening and communicating; ability to apply these theories to receivetransmitand accurately interpret information and ideas to influence others in various situations.

• Collaborating Globally:Knowledge of effective collaboration techniques and ability to build networks with people from different countries and cultures think and work with them to bring positive impact and flourishing business results.

Top Candidates will also have

• Bachelors orMasters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field

• Provensystem and architectureexperienceinautomotive and related industry

• Proven experience in IoT solution design and deployment

• Embedded systemexperienceispreferred

• Proven team leadership experience

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsin order topersuade others onnew technologies or potential solutions

• Experience with the New Product Introduction (NPI) CPI and NTIprocess

• Demonstrated strong technical and analytical skills
